BSOD

havent updated in a while.. was going to update last sunday.. i had like half the entry done before my computer decided to show me the famous BSOD(Blue Screen Of Death).. took me quite long to recover the computer.. took me till now to stablize it..

i see so many comments for the world cup jacket! thanks to all who commented! but.... sorry people.. i took a walk to the shop.. tried on the jacket.. and decided that i shouldn't buy it.. it just didn't feel right! not comfortable.. =(

so... i decided to get a mp3 player instead! hahaa.. a new zen v series is out and im gonna get that.. been wanting to buy a mp3 player for ages anyway..

PS: this entry was meant to be published yesterday.. and the beloved BSOD hit me again.. my laptop is now at toshiba..

I need money

i seriously need some money.. who doesn't? lol.

the technician from yamaha came over this morning.. he took a look at my piano and said, "You wanna repair? Don't want lar.. Bo hua.. Buy second hand good piano about the same price." I didn't expect that.. but really.. the piano has been around for 2 decades.. when he said, "If you really want to repair hor, it'll be about $2500." wow? i guess i'll just throw the piano away and get a clavinova.. that would be about the same price as repairing the piano..

and im so into the world cup jackets.. think im gonna get one of these.. any recommendations?

funny stuff

went to watch scary movie 4 instead of silent hill today.. i would say scary movie 4 is really a movie you should watch if you're in need of a good laugh.. scary movie 4 is uber movie spoofing.. like scary movie has always been.. haha.. dont expect to bring something meaningful out of the theatre though.. it's a laugh and forget about it kind of show to me.. =p

winson sent me this song this afternoon.. rather appropriate to us who just got our driving licenses.. hahaa.. listen to it for a good laugh! apologies to those who can't understand it.. =p

tough times

i'm not sure if i heard correctly, but i thought i just heard a character say this, "no matter how much of a tough time you are going through, when you look back at this period of time, you will still smile and be glad that it's all over.."

i guess we can really press on through our darkest days by constantly reminding ourselves that someday, somehow, the trauma would pass and all would be fine again.. but what if the dark days don’t pass? Hmm..

some random events

just some random updates from last week..

was supposed to drive my friends out on friday night.. my dad agreed to lend me the car initially but at the last minute, just before i stepped out of home.. he told me it was too late to drive out (it was 11.45pm).. lol? late meh? so i stayed home.. he promised to lend me the car for the whole of the next day..

yes.. so naturally i didnt reject the offer to drive out the next day.. drove to pick wendy up.. then after turning a few rounds and getting lost a few times.. we finally picked joy up.. dont blame the newbie driver please! lol. after that we went to marina square to buy some stuff.. joy bought 2 pacifiers -_- guess what.. it lights up when u receive a phone call.. well.. it's supposed to be cute.. we bought a vcd.. wendy left with jon to ps first to catch a movie.. they took a cab.. we walked back to esplanade to get the car and drove to ps to meet louis and kenneth.. had ljs for dinner.. bought a zippo lighter for dad's day.. =)

then we waited for elvin to come before going back to my house to watch the vcd.. the movie was rather irrelevant to me though.. was some mahjong movie that i didnt understand much.. it was kinda funny though.. drove them back home after the movie.. it's really kind of nice to drive at midnight.. where there are little cars around..

sunday was rather uneventful.. gave my dad his present after dinner.. his response was, "next time buy liquor better." errrr.. ok? i will keep that in mind for his birthday..

Youth

is it me or is the weather tonight extremely dreamy? when i look out of my window, it looks like its humid.. but it's cool.. it feels like it's gonna rain outside.. i like the feeling.. especially when i'm alone at home and there's no one to distract me from enjoying the serenity..

i realised that youth is such a short period of our lives.. the period where we're labelled "teens" is only a short 7 years.. from thirteen till nineteen.. i'm now eighteen going onto nineteen.. this august and im on my last "teen" year..

i just watched "Women Of Times" and one of the dialogues i remember was "don't waste each other's youth.. don't make others wait for you.." i've seen too many people wasting time on another person.. this gal waiting for this guy.. this guy waiting for this gal.. this gal holding on meaninglessly to a guy who obviously isn't interested anymore.. this guy losing direction in his life because of another gal.. another gal trying to wait for another guy who cant give her an answer.. how many of such examples are we seeing?

of course, these things are obviously not entirely meaningless.. but by now.. we would have wasted a lot of either our own time or somebody else's time.. most of our youths are almost over or over by now.. how much more time can we afford to lose? how much more time are we prepared to lose? when can we make a clear stand on what we want?

you probably dont understand the words in the title.. well, its the korean representation for "i love you" (according to JJ).. i think the song is great.. soothing and pleasing.. definitely a song you can count on if you are in need of some relaxation from the streesful life you are living.. i guess the song can also make you feel really sad.. actually it really depends on what's happening in your life.. everyone's interpretation of the song can be very different.. some may feel happy to hear it.. some may feel down once they hear it.. its the same for every song isn't it?

how an aircon works

someone please tell me how an aircon works! i did a search and i found this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Air_conditioning & http://www.oreganair.com.au/howair.htm.. i hope the technicians in my lab would start putting their professionalism to use and fix that faulty aircon that is causing everyone more stress and discomfort on top of the "hard to follow" lab rules and regulations.. please fix that aircon!!!
