we watched night at the museum.. and yeah.. it was a great comedy.. the way the movie is presented.. awesome! the way the scenes are exaggerated.. superb!

The Hare And The Tortoise The Trilogy

well, i went for the christmas party at microsoft yesterday afternoon.. and it was kinda alright i guess.. dinner was great at marche! sponsored dinner of course.. =)

well, that afternoon, daniel shared a story with us.. it was the typical hare and tortoise race story.. so prepare to read a life inspiring story.. XD


so, all of us know this part of the story

the hare and the tortoise agreed to have a race.. the hare was complacent and took a nap halfway into the race.. when he woke up, the tortoise had won..

moral of this part of the story: never be complacent, slow and steady wins the race


yup.. all of us know that part of the story.. but there's more to it..

the hare is unhappy that he lost to the tortoise in the race.. he identifies what went wrong and challenges the tortoise to another race.. he was consistent in the race this time and obviously he won the race.

moral of this part of the story: learn from your mistakes, the fast and consistent always wins the slow and steady


when i thought that was all, daniel went on..

the tortoise has lost.. but he is not convinced that he can't beat the hare.. he decided to set a new race route and challenged the hare to another race.. the hare had a huge head start to the race.. but eventually came to a river.. he could not cross.. the tortoise won this time..

moral of this part of the story: change the field of play according to your own strengths and you would win


and that's not all!

the tortoise and hare realised that they both had different strengths.. they decided to collaborate and challenged others to a team race.. when it was on land, the hare would carry the tortoise on his back.. on water, the tortoise would carry the hare on his back..

moral of this part of the story: your competitors don't have to stay as your competitors.. sometimes, collaboration with others with other strengths would do you more good than harm

it's rayner's birthday today! happy birthday dude.. lol.. went to watch eragon and then to have punggol nasi lemak for supper.. it's 4.39am and i don't intend to sleep.. got to wake up in 2 hours if i sleep... gonna be much more tired i think.. tmr's gonna be a sleepy day anyway..

I'm Feeling.. Bored..

had a hard time coming up with my post title.. i typed.. "i'm feeling.." and then i didn't know what to type at the back.. term tests are over.. i feel relieved.. there's a assignment submission next wednesday.. i need to submit comm report chapter 4 draft soon.. that's stress there.. anyway.. i decided on bored..

network security was...................... saw the paper and cursed under my breath.. ok it was easy.. and i kinda regret studying so much for it.. many of us came out of the test venue grinning from ear to ear.. most were done by 40 minutes.. few were left sitting till the end of the paper..

i put up my hand to hand in my paper 30 minutes into the paper.. and the examiner was quite astonished.. before me several others left.. and he went..

"eh.. the paper easy is it?" - Examiner, Network Security

i smiled and said yea.. and he went on to collect the paper, asking the same question to my friend.. i hope everything goes well though.. i would faint die if i make some silly mistakes..

A Letter To Her Father

Well, i found this in my email inbox. Forwarded by Alex.. I think i would have a heart attack if my daughter did that.. lol..


A father passing by his teenage daughter's bedroom was astonished to see the bed was nicely made and everything was neat and tidy. Then he saw an envelope propped up prominently on the center of thepillow. It was addressed "Dad". With the worst premonition, he opened the envelope and read the letter with trembling hands:-

Dear Dad,

It is with great regret and sorrow that I'm writing you, but I'm leaving home. I had to elope with my new boyfriend Randy because I wanted to avoid a scene with Mom and you. I've been finding real passion with Randy and he is so nice to me. I know when you meet him you'll like him too – even with all his piercing, tattoos, and motorcycle clothes.

But it's not only the passion Dad, I'm pregnant and Randy said that he wants me to have the kid and that we can be very happy together. Even though Randy is much older than me (anyway, 42 isn't so old these days is it?), and has no money, really these things shouldn't stand in the way of our relationship, don't you agree?

Randy has a great CD collection; he already owns a trailer in the woods and has a stack of firewood for the whole winter. It's true he has other girlfriends as well but I know he'll be faithful to me in his own way. He wants to have many more children with me and that's now one of my dreams too.

Randy taught me that marijuana doesn't really hurt anyone and he'll be growing it for us and we'll trade it with our friends for all the cocaine and ecstasy we want. In the meantime, we'll pray that science will find a cure for AIDS so Randy can get better; he sure deserves it!!

Don't worry Dad, I'm 15 years old now and I know how to take care of myself. Someday I'm sure we'll be back to visit so you can get to know your grandchildren.

I feel so irritated staying at home the whole day..

My Ideas And Me

i always get funny ideas in my head.. like the following one.. we all know during examinations periods, student tend to be paranoid and start to study overnight at each other houses..

well, most houses are not designed to accomodate an entire class of studying humans! so i concluded that i should book a chalet this coming study week for the main examinations... and invite all my friends to STUDY!

and of course do a whole lot of other things other than study.. like we always do when studying outside.. hahahahhaaa!

tenacious d was freaking funny.. i didn't know it was m18! they asked for all our ICs before we were allowed into the cinema.. -_- wth.. anyway.. tenacious d.. good for a laugh.. i guess there's like no solid storyline.. lol.. 2 hours of crap and laughter.. =p
