Lunar New Year!?

it's the lunar new year AGAIN! i guess i've been through 19 chinese new years.. and 19 years of the same thing is getting really boring.. of course its still nice to see my cousins.. see my family friends.. know how they're doing.. chat.. catch a movie together..

my cousin's doing well in school.. two of my cousins work at LV at taka.. a girl i've known all my life is going to ROM this year.. my younger cousins are growing up fast.. my grandfather keeps asking me to drink stout with him.. these things i know and see from my CNY visits are definitely not that boring..

this year im going into NS! next time i see them at chinese new year.. i'll be an NS man! and im still looking forward to mass visits on tuesday.. =)

Cars, Luck and Such

well.. i was driving in the car with elvin.. and we were talking about how unlucky xu wei lun was.. apparantly they crashed, she thought it was safe.. unbuckled to get off to check the damage.. and just as she unbuckled.. a truck from rammed them from behind.. her head knocked against the dashboard.. and it was fatal..

turns out.. the time of the crash.. as stated in the chinese "tong shu" was the most unlucky time of the day.. it was the time such that when you are very unlucky, that time would be your most unlucky timeframe..

so elvin said.. sometimes really.. when you are unlucky.. you are really unlucky for the rest of the day.. so the story starts..

so we reached out friend's house.. and we decided to wait in the car for her.. she was bathing.. we saw someone who looked like her father enter the house while staring at us in the car.. then her maid returned from somewhere.. she asked us to go in.. so she went ahead of us.. and we took a while to off the engine before stepping in.. her uncle came out.. and went..

"who are you looking for?"
"this is not her house! you want to come in you call her first"

by then i knew it was not her father.. and her maid was no where to be seen.. so the aunt came down too and started to make a scene.. well they were just picking a fight.. he said he would have wacked us cause he thought we were robbers.. lol.. i would like to see him try.. well elvin was angry.. but i wasnt.. i found that guy joke.. i was smiling to him like he was a clown amusing me with his fantastic stunts.. turns out my friend didnt really like him too..

so all that drama ended and we went to joy's work place to have a drink.. she wasnt there though.. so we went to drink and then went to mac @ ecp to eat..

then i drove my friend back.. and i was with elvin again in the car.. i chose to go via expo.. and tada.. roadblock.. those cars in front..

1) policeman looks into the car
2) car moves on

for me...

1) policeman looks into the car
2) policeman goes "park at the side of the road"

lol! how lucky.. so he proceeded to get IC and driving license from me.. and IC from elvin.. can you imagine if i was driving someone with no habit of bringing out the IC? i guess it would be police station for us? they took quite long to check against the database.. they should change the system.. lol..

i don't really feel unlucky.. both events were like eye openers i guess? lol.
