the radio djs never fail to surprise and interest me with their stories.. today while in the car on my way to school.. i heard another interesting story..

many times we play online games.. people ask where we're from.. and we answer.. singapore~.. and they go.. HUH? where is that?

"is that in africa?" - a gamer i talked to recently

well.. that's not really a bad thing.. like we'll know all the states in america offhand.. so unless you're some geog geek.. you're really forgiven..

but from the story i heard this morning.. some people have a rather bad impression of Singapore..

Well, a Singaporean was talking to a Korean lady in Korea...

Korean Lady: Singapore is a place with no freedom and human rights..
Singaporean: What makes you think so?
Korean Lady: I read on the papers that in Singapore, someone threw an unfinished apple onto the ground and got caught. He was then tied to the front of a lorry and paraded in public.. mem bers of public were allowed to throw bad fruits at him..
Singaporean: I've lived 40 years in Singapore and i've never heard of such a thing.. maybe you should come to Singapore and take a look..

it amazing how people from other countries can think this way of Singapore.. i have no problems with them thinking this way.. keeps people from taking jobs away from me huh? =P
